Inserts are vital for use in pocket nappies and all in two nappies as they provide the absorbency required. However they can also be used in conjunction with all in ones and fitted nappies if extra absorbency is needed. Inserts made from microfiber are the most common inserts used in modern cloth nappies. Microfiber is a man made material which holds significantly more liquid than cotton and absorbs a lot faster, which helps prevent leaks. Micorfiber is also soft and comfortable for baby to wear and because it isn't a bulky fabric it is easy to use multiple inserts inside your nappies should you need extra absorbency eg overnight, on long excursions or with a heavy wetter. |
